Andrew Chabot, MASC Commissioner
Andrew "Andy" Chabot was appointed to the position of League Commissioner at the Spring Scheduling Meeting in April 2013, and took the role as Commissioner on January 1, 2014.
Andy is a 2010 graduate of The Ohio State University and, while completing a BS in Consumer Affairs, he was involved in the men's soccer club throughout his undergraduate years. The club officer positions Andy held included president, vice-president and treasurer, all while demonstrating outstanding leadership on campus. He brings a wealth of experience of club management skills to this position.
A native of Cincinnati and graduate of Anderson High School, Andy has been a valuable addition to the MASC leadership team and will be leading league responsibilities with the MASC Becknell Cup tournament, the MASC Presidents meeting and other duties as assigned by the Commissioner's Office.
Chabot currently resides in the Indianapolis area, where he spends much of his free time to playing soccer and creating art. Several of his works are on exhibit in local libraries, schools and galleries.
Eric Sztul, Senior Associate Commissioner
Service to the MASC is nothing new to Eric Sztul, who begins his seventeenth with the league as assistant/associate commissioner, and twenty-first overall as a league official. Eric began his association with intercollegiate club soccer during his playing and coaching days as an undergraduate student-athlete at Bowling Green State University from 1994-1998. In 1997, he assumed the commissioner's title, replacing Steve Burns of the University of Michigan. That same year school year Eric received his bachelor's degree from Bowling Green, and began his successful career in education as a teacher and coach in Columbus, Ohio.
In 2001, he stepped down as commissioner and held the assistant/associate commissioner position. He has held that position ever since. Later in 2007, Eric completed his master's degree from The Ohio State University.
Today, besides assisting the commissioner with many league matters, and working on the league website; Eric assists clubs with issues that may arise during the both the season and off-season.
Russell Lawrence, Associate Commissioner
The newest member to the MASC Administration is Russell Lawrence. Russell is in his sixth season as a league administrator. Russell graduated from Bradley University in 2011. While at Bradley, Russell played for the Mens' Club Soccer Team as well as took an active role in leading the club as team president for three seasons.
Russell helps out the league in a variety of ways. His major role is being in charge of league finance. As league financial officer, he is going over league budgets and in constant communication with clubs regarding dues, fines and other financial matters. His innovative ideas and passion for club soccer is greatly evident in all of the work that he does.
Russell currently resides in the Chicagoland area. He is newly married and during his free time he enjoys working on his home and playing with his dog.
